Hence, Shivam also had two of the most prominent inspirational figures in his life, his mentors. One of them is Dr. Satish Kumar Singh, who is with the Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad India, as an Associate Professor at the Department of Information Technology from 2013, the institute from where Shivam Graduated.
Just like Dr. Satish, Shivam also met another mentor in Sandeep Varma, who is the principal in ZS’s Pune, India, office with over 18 years of technology consulting experience. Here, under the guidance of Sandeep Varma, Shivam worked on various projects involving the latest technology and its Integration with business.
Satish Kumar Singh
Before IIT, he served in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Jaypee University of Engineering and Technology Guna, India. He has about 16+ years of professional experience in various capacities. His areas of interest include Image Processing, Computer Vision, Biometrics, Deep Learning, and Pattern Recognition. Presently he is heading the Computer Vision and Biometrics Lab (CVBL) at IIIT Allahabad from 2015 onwards.
Dr. Singh and his group published about 60 research articles in various IEEE/ACM Transactions, Journals, and International conferences of repute. He is the co-principal investigator of many government funded projects.
Further, he is proactively offering his volunteer services to IEEE for the last many years in various capacities. Presently he is Section Chair IEEE Uttar Pradesh Section and a member of IEEE India Council.
In addition to that, Dr. Singh is also the technical committee affiliate of IEEE SPS IVMSP and MMSP and presently the Secretary, IEEE Signal Processing Society Chapter of Uttar Pradesh Section. He is organizing many impactful events every year for the benefit of the SPS members. Dr. Satish is also the reviewer of many reputed IEEE and ACM Transactions.
He is also the founder and the present faculty-counselor of IEEE Student Branch, IIIT Allahabad under his guidance and supervision many awards and laurels like the India Council Student Volunteer Award, Section's Best Student Branch Award, Largest Student Branch award, and Two IEEE MGA Richard E-Marwin Scholarship has come to the SB and Section as well.
Sandeep Varma
Sandeep is a principal in ZS’s Pune, India, office with over 18 years of technology consulting experience, which includes architecting and delivering innovative solutions for complex business problems. Mr. Varma is a thought leader and chief architect of multiple large-scale enterprise big data platforms, and he heads all delivery from ZS’s big data center of excellence in India. He specializes in rapidly building high-performance teams focused on cutting-edge technologies and high-quality delivery.
Before joining ZS, he was managing large-scale data warehousing BI and web technology projects to develop IT solutions primarily for clients in insurance, finance, and retail in the U.S. and the U.K for about 12 years.
Mr. Sandeep has been helping enterprises build cutting edge technology solutions for over 18 years now.
