Shivam Abhilash is currently serving as Mentoring Chair of Awards and Recognition Committee IEEE Computer Society MGAB and Vice-Chairperson (Collaboration), IEEE CSSYP, MGAB.
He has graduated from the Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad, India. He has showcased his deep expertise in the field of NLP, Graph Algorithms, and Machine Learning and has worked alongside various clients in solving AI problem statements. He is currently working as a Senior Engineer in ZS Associates in the NLP and Graph Domain.
Shivam was one of the first Richard E. Merwin scholars from IEEE Uttar Pradesh Section which is awarded to only 40 students worldwide every year by the IEEE Computer Society. He has over 20+ Projects and over 5+ Research Articles/ Papers in the areas of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Image Processing, Graph, and Natural Language Processing. He has worked with various national and international organizations regarding his research work.
Apart from being actively involved in research, Shivam has worked on various projects in ZS involving Data lake creation for a Big Pharma Client, Automating the alert generation for Alignment and Address changes hence enabling the reps to know their targets better using complex algorithmic approach and also on predicting the next best action for a particular customer helping the clients in Digital Marketing.
Shivam has recently worked on various Graph and NLP techniques for a varied set of business problems including the building of Semantic Search, Topic Tagging, and usage of graphs in various recommendations. He also participated in the Kaggle Challenge for designing a Question Answer Model based on a custom data set where he used the concept of Knowledge Graph and NLP Techniques.
Mentor
Hence, Shivam also had two of the most prominent inspirational figures in his life, his mentors.
One of them is Dr. Satish Kumar Singh, who is with the Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad India, as an Associate Professor at the Department of Information Technology from 2013, the institute from where Shivam Graduated.
Just like Dr. Satish, Shivam also met another mentor in Sandeep Varma, who is the principal in ZS’s Pune, India, office with over 18 years of technology consulting experience. Here, under the guidance of Sandeep Varma, Shivam worked on various projects involving the latest technology and its Integration with business.
